Finally getting around to sharing some weddings from earlier this year. Caleb & Jillian had a beautiful summer day for their wedding. It was quite warm, but at least it wasn’t raining! This was my first time at Pennypacker Mills and it was a lovely venue. The historical old house with wrap around porch, beautiful old trees, grassy meadows and winding paths made for a gorgeous backdrop for the photos. Caleb & Jillian, along with their families, made us feel so very welcome and until the end of the day, both Kiara and I felt like part of the family. Being able to capture the sweet love between them and watch how their family and friends loved and supported them was so special to be a part of. Thank you Caleb & Jill, as well as the Metzler and Leatherman families for letting us share in your special day!
We started off our day by capturing all the little details… one of our favorite things to shoot.
Jillian looked stunning. She was so calm and relaxed, just soaking in the details of the day. Loved doing her bridal portraits!
Caleb & Jill chose to wait until the ceremony to see each other. They shared special gifts and notes though, and Jill requested a first look with her dad which was the sweetest thing!
Lil’ miss Clara, Jillian’s niece, was the most adorable little flower girl ๐
These groomsmen had such great personality! They were quite the bunch as we worked through formal portraits. So fun!!!
Caleb’s reaction to seeing Jill for the first time was priceless! Such raw emotion. I may or may not have been shedding a few tears myself behind the lens ๐
So happy to be husband and wife!
Yard games were set up for those that chose to play and then it was time for the reception.
Kaitlyn Bergey, also one of the bridesmaids, did a phenomenal job on the cake and cupcakes. They were as yummy as they looked!
The toasts. Oh my!! I was seriously crying with Renita (Jill’s mom) as I sat there trying to capture them through my tears. Tiffany’s speech to her sister and Caleb was sooo sweet and then Jill’s dad starts… The love displayed was just awesome to see. Caleb & Jill are both so well loved by their families and that gives them such a wonderful foundation of support as they begin their married life together.
And as Caleb & Jill ran off into the sunset together amidst the bubbles blowing in the wind, I have to end this post with a behind-the-scenes shot from the day. Jared, the videographer, was such an integral part of the day as well and we so enjoyed hanging out capturing the moments together as they unfolded. Jared, you were the best! Much love. (And yes, the dress shot was quite epic. Quite the ordeal we had to get them all in place!)
Thank you so much, Caleb & Jill! We wish you the most wonderful marriage and years of happiness together!
