Brad and Katie.
Where to begin?!! This post is so long overdue, but despite that fact, you are all in for a real treat.
When Katie contacted me in regards to potentially booking us for her wedding day, I could tell just over the phone, what a sweet soul she was. Upon meeting both her and Brad in Lancaster one frigid, winter day for their engagement photos, my intuition proved correct. Both Brad & Katie exude kindness. It was in the way they cared for one another and the way they treated everyone around them throughout their wedding day. As friends and family shared through open mic time, it was obvious to all what a special couple these two were.
Katie, as you shared the ideas and plans you had for your wedding day, nothing could have prepared me for the reality! It was a photographer’s dream come true!!! From the gorgeous home you share with Brad – amazing light-filled bedroom and furniture – to your stunning dress and gorgeous florals, to the swoon-worthy reception hall draped in string lights and chandeliers.
As we entered the farmhouse Saturday morning, Kiara and I were ushered into the warmth of the family and made to feel right at home. As the girls lounged in their matching robes, watching Katie get her hair done, we captured the details of the day. So fun watching them peek out the window when Brad showed up, looking sooo fine in his classic tux & bowtie. Such a perfect gentleman and match for Katie! And when Katie’s dad saw her for the first time? Oh the tears flowed. So very, very special and such a proud daddy/daughter moment to be a witness to.
And then it was off to the first look, surrounded by the remains of where the barn once stood. It made for such a fun setting!! Bridal party pictures followed at the lovely city park that in reality made it seem like we were in another country. Beautiful, beautiful locations to take advantage of. And through it all, Brad stayed by Katie’s side, making sure she was well cared for. We were so very honored to be chosen to capture it all!
Brad & Katie, I know this should have been posted months ago. Blogging is obviously not my forte. I cannot thank you enough for allowing us to capture your wedding day. It was quite simply, perfection. Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness together!!!
And for the rest of you, enjoy! Brad & Katie love books, especially the classics. This was woven into their day as you will soon see! The family antique car, driven by Katie’s grandparents, old books, quotes, stunning florals, chandeliers, string lights and more. Enjoy!!!
